Will I need a Class 6 Driver's License?

Yes.

What does the Mountainview Harley-Davidson sales process look like?

High pressure, slick-talking sales people NEED NOT apply. We take the time to build relationships and establish trust. But don't get it wrong, we always ask for the sale. Our customers feel listened to, cared for, and feel like they got a competitive price for their bike. They don't feel pressured, rushed, ignored or ripped off.

What is the pay structure?

Base hourly wage + Commission

Is there training available?

Harley-Davidson has online training that is quite helpful to help learn the sales process and learn about their products. Both Mountainview's owners are actively involved in the business and will help you with the tools you may need to be successful. The sales and finance team is quite tight and works together to make sure everyone is successful at what they do.

Do I need to love motorcycles?

Maybe. Probably. Our customers are quite passionate about Harley-Davidsons. They do like to see the passion in your eyes too. But someone who may be indifferent about motorcycles but whose passion is helping others achieve their passion might be just fine. Did we overuse the word passion?

Is there any heavy lifting?

Sort of. Each morning and each evening some of our Harley's make the daily pilgrimage from outside the building to inside the building and vice versa. Because our Harley's don't drive themselves (yet) we often use our own brute strength. It's a great workout and not for the faint of heart. With that said, we are an equal opportunity company and can work with all ranges of ability.

What hours will I be expected to work?

Most days we start pushing bikes out at 8:30 and push them back in at 5:30 or once the store is clear. You will be expected to work Saturdays (possibly Sundays) and some holidays as we are only closed a handful of days a year. We also have some trade shows, which might require longer hours. Extended holidays during the summer are rare/non-existent.

Benefits:

  • Extended health care
  • Dental care

  • Would your friends describe you as a people person?
  • Do you like to work in a friendly team environment?
  • Do you have a keen eye for detail?

Mountainview Harley-Davidson is a Platinum awarded dealership that has a full-service dealership in Chilliwack and a Retail location at Highstreet Mall in Abbotsford.

We are looking to add to our team of Parts specialists at our Chilliwack location.

We hire for attitude and train for skill if necessary. While our customers appreciate knowledge and experience, that can quickly be ruined by a bad attitude, negative energy, and poor teamwork.

Picking parts for customers might feel like a technical job, but serving them in a friendly, empathetic manner will be just as important. When our customers step up to the parts counter they want to be understood, served well and in some cases inspired, as the rarest Harley is a stock one.

This position is as much about sales and customer service as it is parts knowledge.

A successful candidate will be:

  • able to excel working in a team environment
  • willing to learn no matter your experience level
  • good at taking direction
  • passionate about the Harley-Davidson Brand
  • customer orientated
  • patient and positive
  • high detail orientated
  • able to navigate basic software
  • able to bend, stoop, crouch, reach and handle tools. Occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
  • stand for long periods of time
  • professional in both attitude and appearance.
  • able to work Saturdays and/or Sundays

Pay Structure:

- This position is hourly + a dept. shared commission.
